owner remarks

10+ years of fun family time.   From horseback riding, to watching two big young moose overnight in the back yard.  We had a very large blonde porcupine take the whole day to come up in back from the tree line, just eating away on the clover.  Birds,  from humming birds to the big brilliant blue jays.   When we first arrived there 12 years ago, we watched a den and 3 litters of fox grow up across the road.  One bear and many deer have also passed through the property.  Chipmunks?  Yes, of course and the bigger ones can be hand fed.

We always have to make a trip to the “Briar Rose” when we are in town... they have to-die-for mac & cheese..  4th July is an extremely fun event.  And the ice sculptures, wow what an experience that is.. unbelievable what they can do, art shows, it  seems like there is  always something going on in Breckenridge… and this is even if you don’t ski..  But the grandkids would take the sleds go up and down the hill right there by the cabin.   Snowmobiling, building snow men, to hiking they always kept busy.

As a family project we  put in the theatre and collected over a period of years, the large number of DVD’s and the characters found around the inside of the theatre, and every July  4th when grandkids would come that would be a thing they would  have to check out.

A few years back we did custom painting thru out… Sharon practically lived there for a month to get all done – and her team did a wonderful job, love the stone look going down the stairs.  We have alarm system for break-in protection, fire detection, and pipes freezing in the winter, but always have someone do a walk thru weekly when we are away, new boiler installed, roof and driveway.  We also had a back deck built along with the wooden sidewalk to the downstairs shop.

Well the movie theatre destroyed any hope of salvation compared to what the kids are used to at home. John and I loved the mountain ambience and the awe inspiring presence your Colorado mountain home has. Thank you for letting us stay.
